Bryson Metz lifts Union boys with basket at the buzzer

Bryson Metz made scooping layup in the lane with one second to play, sending the Union boys basketball team to a 61-60 in the 4A bi-district third-place game at Curtis High School in University Place.

The Titans (19-5) now wait to see where they will be seeded Sunday in the 4A state tournament.

The Titans had to rally from a 38-29 halftime deficit to beat the Eagles.

Metz scored 16 points and Evan Eschels led Union with 19 points.
