Evergreen boys fall to Gig Harbor 68-42 at 3A bi-district

Plainsmen get one more chance at state with game at Mountain View

Gig Harbor used a 22-3 second-quarter advantage to seize control and pull away from Evergreen for a 68-42 win in a 3A bi-district winner-to-state game.

Evergreen will now play at Mountain View at 4 p.m. Saturday for the final berth to state from the bi-district.

Evergreen played the Tides even after one quarter 11-11. But Gig Harbor led 33-14 at halftime and the Plainsmen could not get any closer than 11 points the rest of the way.

Arthur Ban and DJ Edmondson scored nine points each to lead Evergreen.
