Art at the CAVE seeks artists to submit works for “Verdant,” an exhibit celebrating the living biosphere to be displayed at the gallery from April 1-20.

Artwork in any medium or combination of media is welcome, but some aspect of the work must be living, or must once have been alive.

Submissions can be of plants, flowers, arrangements, bonsai, mold, fungus, invertebrates, insects, soil or bacteria — any living, growing form that can be transformed or utilized into a work of art or an aspect of that art. Work can also be videos or films of living things, but must be about the living nature of the subject.

This is a juried show; both an artist and an ecologist will choose pieces for this exhibition. A $15 submission fee covers as many as three static works or one video per artist or cooperative artists. Fill out the submission form and get complete details at artatthecave.com. The deadline to submit work is March 17.

Email questions to gallery@artatthecave.com or call 360-314-6506.
