Clark County Public Works is replacing two sets of damaged school zone flashing beacons. One set of beacons is at Northeast 99th Street at the school zone for Gaiser Middle School. The other set of beacons is at Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue at the school zone for Sacajawea Elementary School. Crews are scheduled to install new flashing beacons the week of Feb. 14.

The beacons were damaged by passing vehicles in fall 2021. Replacements were ordered immediately and have only recently arrived. Before the replacement beacons are activated, electrical power supply to the beacons must also be repaired. Full activation of the new beacons is expected in late March.
