Radio hour
Clark County Amateur Radio Club is offering a free, four-session amateur radio licensing course 7-9 p.m. Friday and Feb. 18 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 19 at the Vancouver Stake Center, 10509 S.E. Fifth St., Vancouver. Class includes the Federal Communications Commission technician licensing exam for a $15 fee. Masks are required. To celebrate the Winter Olympics, Mountain View Ice Arena’s skating academy at 14313 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, is hosting a morning of free ice skating lessons for all ages and abilities. Come to the rink 8:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday. Try ice skating, watch exhibitions and practice with ice skating coaches. Mountain View Ice Arena will provide skates. Drum it up
Columbia Play Project’s Wiggles and Giggles series continues at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St., Vancouver. This show, featuring Hearts and Hands Drumming, is part of a series of kid-friendly performances on the second Saturday of each month through April. Tickets are $10 for ages 3 and older, available at kigginstheatre.com. Adults must show proof of vaccination and masks will be required for everyone.
