Crews with the Vancouver Fire Department saved a woman from a house fire Tuesday night in east Vancouver.
At 10:02 p.m., the fire department received a report of a fire at 15021 S.E. Fifth St. Engine 9 arrived within five minutes and found a one-story house on fire, according to an agency statement. A woman outside the home told crews there were more people inside the house.
“Crews went into rescue mode and entered the house as quickly as possible to search (for) anyone inside,” according to the department.
Engine 9 crews found one woman in the home. She was treated by paramedics at the scene and then taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
