VANCOUVER — Regional business and community leaders recently expressed appreciation for the region’s educational system by honoring 26 staff and volunteers.

The honors were presented as part of the Learn Here Project, an effort to showcase the area’s educational system for people and businesses considering relocating to or expanding in the region. A 20-minute virtual presentation celebrating staff and volunteers is available at www.discoverclark.org/learn.

“We are so appreciative by those who work so diligently in preparing our students,” said Chad Sessions of Real Living The Real Estate Group. “Through their hard work and creativity, they are helping prepare our next generation of citizens, workers and leaders, which in turn, helps us grow our economy and community.”

Real Living is joined by Northwest Capital Mortgage, the Port of Vancouver USA, iQ Credit Union and the business group Identity Clark County in supporting the Learn Here Project. The virtual presentation was completed with support from Waste Connections and produced by Versa Events.

Those honored as Real Heroes include: Catherine Shannon and Monty Anderson of Battle Ground Public Schools; Carol Bruce, Robin Webster, Sarah Yee and Tammy Herdener of Camas School District; Mike Silva and Keith Koplan of Clark College; Shane Gardner and Jeff Angelo of Evergreen Public Schools; Jessica Ambrose and Justin VanNatta of Hockinson School District; Joel Shaw and Walter Hansen of La Center School District; Peggy Horne and Jim Buchan of Ridgefield School District, Sofia Avila, Ekaterina Walla, Fawn McKay and Sam Petrie of Vancouver Public Schools; Adrienne Fernandez and Kaitlin Dittmar of the Washington State School for the Blind; and Michael Caulfield and Jasmine Tolbert of Washington State University Vancouver.
