Prep girls basketball: Camas doubles up Kentwood, 60-32

The Camas Papermakers girls basketball team held Kentwood to 17 points over the first three quarters to win the non-league game 60-32 on Monday at Kent.

Parker Mairs led Camas in scoring with 13 points and also had three steals.

Reagan Jamison had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds plus three assists.

Addison Harris led in rebounding with 12 to go with nine points, and Keirra Thompson had 10 points, six rebounds and six assists.

FEDERAL WAY 50, HERITAGE 46 (OT) — The Timberwolves rallied from 10 points down in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but ultimately fell short at the GESA Winter Shootout in Wenatchee.

Keanna Salavea led Heritage with 24 points.

Salavea scored the game-tying basket in regulation. Jaila Ellis made a steal, passed the ball to Mariah Bibens who then found Salavea for the layup.

LAS VEGAS 64, MOUNTAIN VIEW 24 — Nina Peterson scored seven points, and Camaria Brown and Kendal Skidmore had six apiece in the loss to Las Vegas High at the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas.

Mountain View, playing in the 12-team Emerald Division, next plays Dominguez of Compton, Calif., on Tuesday.

NORTH SALEM 37, BATTLE GROUND 31 — The Tigers lost to the Vikings of North Salem in the final day of the Nike Interstate Shootout at Lake Oswego High School.

Alexa Vesley and Naomi Cooper each scored eight points for Battle Ground.

McKAY 48, BATTLE GROUND 31 — Danielle Arn scored 10 points and Alexa Vesley had nine for the Tigers against McKay of Salem, Ore., in the Sunday game at the Nike Interstate Shootout.

WESTSIDE CHRISTIAN 40, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN 32 — Izzy Hill scored 12 points and Kennady Broadbent had 10 for King’s Way in a game that was close until the end.

The game was tied at halftime, 16-16, and Westside had a one-point lead going into the fourth quarter where it pulled away for the win.
