Loving Them Forward, CLT at Home and PNW Aging are looking for volunteers to help with the free gift drive for family and professional caregivers. Gift-bag stuffers are needed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at 203 N.E. Park Plaza Drive in the first floor conference room. Volunteers are also needed to help with the event from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at The Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield. For more information or to sign up, call the Loving Them Forward Hotline at 360-524-4344 or go to www.lovingthemforward.org.

Naturespaces and the Adopt-A-Park program seek volunteers from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday to pull invasive English ivy in Behrens Woods Urban Nature Area, 3005 S.E. Bella Vista Place, Vancouver. Remove ivy on and around trees to minimize impacts to forest health. The event will happen rain or shine. Training, gloves, tools and snacks will be provided. Ivy pulling will be off established trails, and the terrain will be uneven and slightly sloped. Activities will include cutting ivy off tree trunks, bending to pull ivy free from the soil and shoveling and spreading bark mulch. Participants will also hear more about Naturespaces and Adopt-a-Park programs and learn about native plants and birds.
