The Nursing Assistant Program suspended the certified nursing assistant license of Akberet M. Tekle. The Department of Social and Health Services determined that he neglected a vulnerable adult and placed Tekle on a registry that prevents him from being employed to care for vulnerable adults.

The Nursing Commission suspended the licensed practical nurse credential of Janet Elizabeth Scurlock and denied Scurlock’s application for reinstatement of the license. The Oregon State Board of Nursing had revoked Scurlock’s license for failing to comply with substance use treatment and monitoring requirements.

The Nursing Commission ended conditions on the registered nurse license of Jill Suzanne Thompson.

The Nursing Assistant Program and certified nursing assistant Taylor Nichole Martin entered an agreement that suspends Martin’s license for at least five years. Martin stole from multiple co-workers and vulnerable adults who were residents at a senior living facility where she worked.

The secretary of health suspended the certified nursing assistant license of Rachel Marie Teague. Teague did not respond to an investigator’s request for an explanation of allegations that she stole $90 from a client.
