The Clark County Republican Women are hosting a candidate debate May 20 for those vying to be elected Clark County sheriff.

The group said John Horch, Rey Reynolds and David Shook will attend the forum, which begins at 6 p.m. at Groove Nation, 3000 Columbia House Blvd., in Vancouver.

Tickets cost $30, and people must register online to attend at clarkcountyrepublicanwomen.org/events. Registration includes dinner provided by Ingallina’s Box Lunch in Portland and a beverage. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The group said candidates will answer questions on topics such as the area’s homeless population, a spike in property crime, staffing issues at the agency and building a new Clark County Jail.
