Journey Theater is holding auditions for “The Little Mermaid” musical, with performances at Parkrose High School Performing Arts Center in Portland on July 29, 30, Aug. 4, 5 and 6.
Auditions will be held in three-minute time slots on May 27, 28 and June 1 at U.S. Digital, 1400 N.E. 136th Ave., Vancouver, with callbacks at Summit View Church, 7701 N.E. 182nd Ave., Vancouver, on June 3 and 4. Performers, singers, dancers and actors ages 8 and up are invited to audition. Auditioners should bring headshots and resumes and prepare 16 bars of a musical theater song that shows off vocal range and technical ability. A cappella songs will not be allowed; bring an instrumental track on CD or downloaded audio file. Auditioners may be asked to sing songs from the show. There is a $75 production fee per cast member.
