Vancouver-based Absci Corp. announced Wednesday that it has opened an artificial intelligence research lab in New York City.
The opening of the office in Manhattan’s Plaza District follows Absci’s recent advances in machine learning for in silico antibody lead optimization, as well as news of the company’s collaboration with NVIDIA, the company said in a press release.
The facility, known as the Absci AI Research Lab, will use machine learning to analyze therapeutic protein sequences and cell line designs to optimize drug candidates for desired characteristics, the press release said.
“The AAIR Lab is a space dedicated to training and bettering Absci’s machine learning models and computational pipeline,” said Absci Lead AI Scientist Joshua Meier.
