Vancouver residents are invited to review the city’s nearly yearlong plan for housing and community development and provide comments to the Vancouver City Council on May 2.
The council’s consent agenda meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the public can address Vancouver’s draft plan to use an awarded $3.76 million in federal funds during this period.
Current funding priorities focus on homelessness, increasing affordable housing stock, improving economic opportunities for small businesses and upgrading public facilities, according to a city news release. Funds must be invested in projects that support people with low to moderate incomes.
Money is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from its Community Development Block Grant, Home Investment Partnerships Program and other funding resources.
