Battle Ground beats Bellevue, The Dalles in doubleheader

The Battle Ground baseball team improved to 5-0 with a pair of non-league wins on Saturday at Battle Ground.

The Tigers beat Bellevue 3-1 in the opener and finished with a 10-0 five-inning win against The Dalles (Ore.).

Zach Hauser pitched a complete-game three-hitting against Bellevue (2-6). He struck out 12 and walked one.

None of the runs in the game were scored as earned runs as the teams combined for eight errors.

Battle Ground broke a 1-1 tie by scoring twice in the fifth inning.

In the second game, the Tigers scored eight runs in the third inning to put away the Riverhawks (2-7).

Braeden Getch pitched the five-inning one-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk. Carter and Jack Hotchkiss each had a two-run double. Getch also drove in three runs.
