More showers will fall today and perhaps a thunderstorm, so the tally will rise. We get a break Wednesday, but I cannot rule out a shower or two mainly to the north. Thursday more showers return on the last day of September. Will we make 4 inches for the month?
High pressure begins to build inland on the first day of October and right now the weekend looks pleasant with highs about 75 to 80 degrees. Fair weather will continue into Monday. October is usually a friendly month weather-wise, but has its ups and downs and can get blustery and feisty too. In between we have those warm hazy days and crisp cold nights. Diminished sunshine helps the trees to don their autumn attire and as the frosts appear they gently cause those colorful leaves to tumble through the breeze to the ground.
