Buoyed by its 35-0 win over Hockinson, Ridgefield rose to the No. 3 spot in the Class 2A state rankings according to the Associated Press statewide media polls released Wednesday.
Ridgefield (3-0) had been ranked at No. 7 last week. Hockinson, which was at No. 6 last week, fell out of the top 10.
Tumwater remained at No. 1 with 96 points, despite the Thunderbirds’ loss to Central Catholic. Lynden was second with 87 points. Ridgefield pulled in 70 points.
In the 4A poll, Union remained at No. 6 and Skyview stayed at No. 9.
At 1A, La Center fell from No. 5 to No. 10 after the Wildcats’ loss to Kalama.
Kalama solidified its hold on the No. 1 ranking at 2B, picking up an additional first-place vote.
