LA CENTER — The last La Center Farmer’s Market of the season was Aug. 26. It was an expanded version with a mini car show, additional vendors, kids activities, bingo and a beautiful baby contest. The contest winners were: zero to 6 months, 3½-week-old Remi Rae Taylor of La Center; 7 to 12 months, Brielle Myers of La Center; 13 to 18 months, Olivia Payne of La Center; grand champion, 2-month-old Dalia Janik of La Center. In past years, the Miss Teen La Center court facilitated the beautiful baby contest. Miss Teen La Center 2019 Skylar House; her princess, Leah Lee; Raegan Boyse, a 2018 princess; and Sydney Boyse, a junior princess, were on hand to help with the babies. The judges were Miss Clark County Annie Straight, Miss Clark County’s Outstanding Teen Morgan Greco and former Miss Teen La Center Princess Danielle Van Athen. Also there, for moral support, was Miss Greater Vancouver’s Outstanding Teen Emma Boonabi-Mirfathali. The La Center Our Days committee sponsored the trophies.
