Protesters plan to line sidewalks along state Highway 503 on Saturday to say “no to child vax mandates.”

Sponsored by The Recovering Pastor Group, organizers said they are “peacefully yet passionately and persistently letting all of Clark County know that we do not want child vaccine mandates” and are calling for an end to mandates that discriminate against them.

Scheduled guest speakers include congressional candidate Heidi St. John, District 17 state Rep. Vicki Kraft, R-Vancouver, Rob Anderson (The Recovering Pastor) and Washougal mom Melanie Gabriel.

According to organizers, Hockinson teachers who refused to be vaccinated will also address the protesters.

A pre-protest rally will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Faith Center Church parking lot. The church is at 11608 N.E. 107th Way.

Following the rally, protesters will line the sidewalks along 117th Avenue (state Highway 503) between 119th Street and state Highway 500 in the Orchards area. The protest starts at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.

The rally and protest are in support of Waking Up Washington’s “medical freedom” petition to “end discrimination in Clark County.” The petition, and a related mini-initative to ban mask and vaccine mandates, will be sent to the Clark County Council for consideration.
