Ty Snider scored three touchdowns and threw for a fourth, helping Ridgefield clinch a share of the 2A Greater St. Helens League title with a 40-14 win over R.A. Long on Friday in Longview.
The win gives the Spudders (8-0) at least a share of the league title, which they can win outright with a win at home over Woodland next week. It marks Ridgefield first 2A GSHL title, and first league title of any sort since sharing the 2A Trico League title with Castle Rock in 2005.
Snider caught a 35-yard touchdown pass and a 37-yard touchdown pass from Logan DeBeaumont. He threw a 35-yard TD pass to Jakob Braunstein in the first quarter.
He also returned an interception 37 yards for the Spudders’ final touchdown in the third quarter, putting Ridgefield up 40-0.
