Skyview moves up to No. 7 in latest 4A rankings in Associated Press prep football polls

Skyview, on the heels of its 37-7 win over Union, moved up two spots to No. 7 in the Class 4A rankings in the most recent Associated Press state media prep football polls released Monday.

Skyview (6-1) had been ranked No. 9 last week. The Storm are the highest ranked team with one loss. The six teams ranked ahead of Skyview are all undefeated. Union, No. 7 last week, dropped out of the 4A top 10.

Ridgefield (7-0) picked up three first-place votes and nearly caught top-ranked Tumwater (4-2), who lost last week to 4A Camas 28-26. Tumwater received 83 points to Ridgefield’s 82.

Voters were less impressed by Kalama’s 58-6 win over Onalaska as the Chinooks lost one first-place vote from last week when the Chinooks received three.

Kalama was still at No. 2 in Class 2B behind top-ranked Napavine.
