Ridgefield scored two touchdowns in a span of six seconds to pull away to a 34-7 victory against Columbia River in a 2A GSHL football game on Friday night at Kiggins Bowl.
Davis Pankow punched in his third touchdown of the night with 15.8 seconds left in the third quarter to give the No. 2 Spudders a 21-7 lead. Columbia River misplayed the ensuing kickoff, allowing the ball to sit at the 3-yard line as Ridgefield charged down for the long onside recovery. Connor Delemarter ran in a touchdown on the next play and the game was a rout.
Pankow finished with 141 yards rushing and three touchdowns to lead Ridgefield in the victory and quarterback Logan DeBeaumont had 155 yards passing, with Ty Snider hauling in six catches for 97 yards.
The Spudders defense held River to just 98 yards after halftime.
River quarterback Adam Watts led the Rapids with 140 yards passing and 38 yards rushing. Victor Flores had a team-high 49 yards receiving, including a 42-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter.
