1A Trico League football: La Center 47, Fort Vancouver 8

Quarterback Darren Cepeda accounted for five touchdowns, and Andrew Kyser and Levi Giles had two apiece in La Center’s 1A Trico League victory.

Cepeda had rushing touchdowns of 37 and 4 yards, and touchdown passes to Levi Giles (53 yards), Andrew Kyser (8) and Davari Grauer (5) as La Center rushed out to a 47-0 lead by the third quarter.

Giles’ 70-yard punt return on the first La Center play from scrimmage opened the Wildcats’ first-quarter scoring. Giles, a receiver, also had five catches for a game-best 154 yards.

Jesse Mumm had back-to-back catches on Fort’s final drive, including a 15-yard touchdown reception in the final minute.
