The Camas Police Department has referred burglary and theft charges to the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for four people suspected in Halloween break-ins at four downtown Camas businesses.

The agency identified the suspects as Arnes Johnmark, 23, of Happy Valley, Ore.; Zachary Retonong, 19, of Salem, Ore.; and a 14-year-old boy and 11-year-old boy, both from Portland. As of Thursday morning, they were in custody in Oregon.

Camas police said the burglaries occurred in the early morning of Oct. 31 at Papermaker Pride, 327 N.E. Fourth Ave., Caps N’ Taps, 337 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas Slices, 339 N.E. Cedar St., and Birch Street Lounge, 311 N.E. Birch St.

Police said four people threw rocks through the windows of the businesses and went inside to steal things. They can be seen on surveillance video in a stolen Jeep Wrangler.

Camas police said they also believe the four people are responsible for a burglary at Washougal Food Center, 1736 E St.

On Monday, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon tried to stop the Jeep in Salem, and it fled, according to Camas police. Deputies used spike strips to stop the Jeep, which was occupied by six people. Five people ran, but deputies arrested all of them.

Camas police said deputies learned the Jeep was stolen from Tualatin, Ore., and they found items stolen from the Camas businesses inside.
