Lauren Rabus blasted in a goal from 20 yards late in the second overtime as Washougal soccer beat W.F. West 1-0 on Tuesday to advance in the Class 2A District 4 tournament.
Washougal survived the loser-out game in Chehalis to advance to a winner-to-state, loser-out match on Thursday. The Panthers will face Evergreen Conference champion Tumwater on the road.
Goalkeeper Makenzi Gehrke had 10 saves for Washougal (12-7).
HOCKINSON 2, TUMWATER 1, PKs — Ashley Suva saved two shots in a penalty kick shootout as the Hawks advanced to the district title game against Ridgefield.
Ani Vossler scored Hockinson’s goal in regulation, which ended 1-1.
After a scoreless overtime, the Hawks (13-5) then won the shootout 3-1 to knock the Evergreen Conference champion Thunderbirds into a third-place match against Washougal.
4A Bi-District
CAMAS 1, PUYALLUP 0 — Lily Loughney’s second-half goal sent the undefeated Papermakers to the bi-district championship match.
Camas (17-0-1) went on the road to beat Puyallup (13-2-3), the South Puget Sound League champion that had won five in a row.
Camas will face Olympia (12-5-1) for the bi-district title Thursday at Curtis High School in University Place.
UNION 2, KENTRIDGE 0 — Avery Schilling and Bailey Morris each scored second-half goals as the Titans survived a loser-out match in Olympia.
After winning back-to-back elimination matches to start the tournament, Union (12-5-1) can punch its ticket to state with one more victory. The Titans will face Curtis (9-4-4) in a winner-to-state, loser out game Thursday in Olympia.
TAHOMA 2, SKYVIEW 1 — The Storm’s season came to an end with a loss in Kent. Skyview finishes the season 5-12-2.
3A Bi-District
LAKES 1, PRAIRIE 0 — The Falcons (9-6-2) fell in a loser-out game in Federal Way.
GIG HARBOR 6, KELSO 0 — The Lassies faced an onslaught by the undefeated Tides in a semifinal match.
Kelso (10-3-2) has clinched a state berth and will face Capital for third place on Thursday.
1A District
ELMA 1, SETON CATHOLIC 0 — The host Eagles used a first-half goal to beat the Cougars in a loser-out match.
TENINO 1, KING’S WAY 0 — The Knights fell in a loser-out first-round match on the road.
