Fire damaged a duplex unit in east Vancouver on Friday, according to the Vancouver Fire Department.

The fire was reported about 10 a.m. at 2310 N.E. 130th Ave., and crews arrived to find black smoke billowing from the single-story building, according to the department.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control before it could spread to other areas of the duplex, the department said.

No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported, according to the department.

The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
