The Oregon Department of Transportation will close two lanes at nights on each of the twin spans of the Interstate 5 Bridge this week in order to replace aging camera equipment, according to a press release from the Washington State Department of Transportation. The bridge is jointly owned by Oregon and Washington, but ODOT handles maintenance.
The left and middle lanes of the northbound span will close from 10 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Wednesday, with the right lane and sidewalk remaining open. The left and middle lanes of the southbound span will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights. The right lane will remain open, but the southbound span’s sidewalk will also close (the northbound span’s sidewalk will remain open).
