Bill Oman, currently the senior director of secondary education in Evergreen Public Schools, has been named Vancouver Public Schools’ executive director of learning improvement of schools and programs. Oman will help fill an opening following two recent resignations by Deputy Superintendent Mike Stromme, who earlier this month was named interim superintendent of the Lynden School District, and Executive Director Tamara Shoup.
Oman spent six years in Evergreen. Previous positions in VPS include director of human resources, principal, associate principal and teacher at Hudson’s Bay High School.
