Furry Friends nets $4,300 for cats

MINNEHAHA — A May 8 garage sale held by the volunteer-run nonprofit no-kill cat shelter Furry Friends raised $4,300. The funds will go toward medical expenses needed by cats in their care. American Legion Post 14 donated the space for the sale, while Iron Gate Storage provided space to hold items until the event began. Volunteers that helped coordinate at the sale included Jenny Grass, Angie Wood, Ellen Schroeder, Brandi Towner, Malinda Goldbeck, Chris Nash, Sara Lugo, SuAnne Anderson, PJ Coleman, Jaimie Garver, Jenn Hutchman and Diane Stevens.
