OLD EVERGREEN HIGHWAY — Nature nonprofit Columbia Springs recently held a hydrangea giveaway to community members. Lori and Michael Gordon provided more than 1,000 hydrangea cuttings to more than 200 community members who attended the event. “When community supporters Lori & Michael Gordon offered to donate hundreds of their hydrangea cuttings to those who would value them, we knew it was something we wanted to be a part of,” said Kylie Sahota, Columbia Springs communications coordinator. “It was great to have everyone interacting in person again at Columbia Springs, and the sunshine in the sky reflected the bright hope in everyone’s hearts,” a blog post on its website reads. Columbia Springs’s mission is to offer educational experiences that foster greater awareness of the natural world and inspire stewardship.
