Preschoolers at Gan-Garrett Jewish Preschool joined together in a Seder plate tasting Friday morning at Chabad Jewish Center in Vancouver. The Passover Seder is a ritual feast to mark the beginning of the eight-day Jewish holiday of Passover, and celebrates freedom commemorating the Jews’ exodus from Egypt through stories, songs and ceremonial foods. On Thursday, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish, hosted the first Passover Seder at the White House. President Barack Obama launched White House Seders in 2009.
