Clark County reports 30 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths on Thursday

Public Health data shows county has averaged about 37 new cases a day since Friday

Clark County recorded 30 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths Thursday, according to the latest data from Clark County Public Health.

The new cases push the county’s COVID-19 total to 19,167, according to Public Health data. There have been an average of about 37 new cases a day reported since Friday, up from an average of about 34 cases a day in the previous two weeks.

With no deaths reported Thursday, the number of deaths from COVID-19 held steady at 241, according to Public Health data. Five deaths have been recorded this week, though Public Health noted that deaths are usually added to the official tally 10 to 12 days after they occur.

There were 267 active cases still in isolation Thursday, down from 285 on Wednesday, the agency said. Hospitalizations held steady, with 18 people hospitalized with COVID-19 on Thursday, the same as the day before, and three people hospitalized awaiting test results, down from four on Wednesday.
