Heritage came out with a very run-heavy ground game Tuesday and ran away from Prairie 20-6 in the 4A/3A Greater St. Helens League matchup.
Heritage used nine different ball carriers for 143 of their 180 offensive yards.
Senior running back Andre Cowley would end with 60 rushing yards and two of the three Timberwolves’ touchdowns.
Prairie would lead their offense through the air where they threw for 101 yards behind quarterback Brandon Baum.
While both teams had different offensive approaches, they would both show strong displays of defense as each team came away with fumbles and Heritage with an interception.
