Clark County recorded four new deaths from COVID-19 and 39 new cases Tuesday as the county’s infection rate rose slightly in data from Clark County Public Health.
The fatalities were a man in his 60s, a man in his 70s and two men age 80 or older, according to Public Health. All four had underlying health conditions.
The deaths bring the county’s total to 241 deaths to date. There have been five deaths recorded so far this week. Seven deaths were recorded last week. Deaths are added to the county total about 10 to 12 days after they occur.
The new cases put Clark County’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 19,093. There has been an average of about 37 new cases a day reported since Friday, up from an average of about 34 cases a day reported in the previous two weeks.
