Clark County reports 108 new COVID-19 cases, one death since Friday

New cases being recorded at an average of 36 a day, up slightly from last two weeks

Clark County recorded 108 new COVID-19 cases and one death since Friday, according to the latest data reported Monday by Clark County Public Health.

The fatality was a woman age 80 or older with underlying conditions. Her death brings the total number of deaths from COVID-19 to 237 . Seven deaths were recorded last week. Deaths are usually reported by the county 10 to 12 days after they occur.

The new cases push the county’s total to 19,054, with an average of 36 new cases a day reported since Friday. There was an average of about 34 cases a day reported last week and the week before that.

There were 270 active COVID-19 cases still in their isolation period Monday, according to Public Health data, down from 283 on Friday.

Hospitalizations fell, with 19 people hospitalized with COVID-19 on Monday, down from 23 on Friday, and three people hospitalized awaiting test results, the same as on Friday.
