Clark County reports 38 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths on Thursday

Clark County recorded 38 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths on Thursday, according to the latest data from Clark County Public Health.

The new cases push the county’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 18,664 to date, according to Public Health data. There has been an average of about 33 new cases a day reported since Friday, up from about 29 cases a day reported last week.

With no new deaths reported, the toll from COVID-19 in Clark County remains at 229 to date, according to Public Health data.

There are 217 active cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday, up from 193 on Wednesday, according to Public Health data.

There were 13 people hospitalized with COVID-19 on Thursday, down from 19 on Wednesday, and nine people hospitalized awaiting test results, up from three on Wednesday.

Public Health reported that 85.9 percent of the county’s ICU beds were occupied as of Thursday, in a measure used to gauge hospital capacity, and 3.47 percent of all licensed hospital beds in the county were occupied by people either with or suspected of having COVID-19, down from 3.8 percent on Wednesday.
