The city of Ridgefield is hosting an online survey to gather public input about a proposed new connection to Interstate 5. The survey is available at ridgefieldroundtable.org/i5-south-connection through March 22.

The proposed connection would extend west from the existing I-5 interchange with Northeast 219th Street to connect with Northwest Hillhurst Road or Northwest 31st Avenue to the south of Ridgefield.

The project is still in the early planning stages and the exact alignment has not yet been chosen. Construction will not begin for at least another five years, according to a video on the survey website.
