The Battle Ground Public Schools Board of Directors selected Mary Snitily, a former educational professional, to fill its District 1 director vacancy during Wednesday’s special meeting. Snitily will be sworn in at Monday’s regular school board meeting.

Snitily fills the vacancy after board member Monty Anderson resigned last month. Her appointment runs through November 2021 when the position is up for election for a four-year term.

Snitily has 21 years of experience in public and private education, including classroom teacher, math specialist, principal, district curriculum director and assistant superintendent.
