Clark County reported 31 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday as disease activity continues to ebb. No new deaths from the disease have been reported since Friday.
The new cases bring the county’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 18,408 to date, according to Clark County Public Health. There has been an average of about 29 new cases a day reported since Friday, down from the average of about 39 cases a day reported last week.
Disease activity peaked in the first week of January, with about 180 new cases a day, and has been falling ever since.
Testing data reflects that drop, with the most recent test positivity rates falling to 4.76 percent, with 254 positive tests out of 5,341 administered between Feb. 7 and Feb. 12. That rate is down from 5.16 percent the previous week and a peak of 9.62 percent between Jan. 3 and Jan. 9.
