CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate, seeks volunteers to advocate for the best interest of children who have come into the state’s care as a result of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Volunteers are empowered to represent a child’s voice in court after extensive training that prepares them for the role. Jane Weber Evergreen Arboretum is hosting its monthly Second Saturday Work Party from 10 a.m. to noon June 12 at 9215 S.E. Evergreen Highway. Volunteers should bring garden gloves and a mask. Refreshments will be provided.
The Agency on Aging and Disabilities of Southwest Washington has partnered with HOPE Dementia Support to offer volunteer opportunities in Clark County. The Dementia Friends program helps educate volunteers about dementia and provides opportunities to visit someone living with dementia.
