A bunch of local women’s soccer talent is set to begin the 2021 Northwest Premier League soccer season on Saturday as the Vancouver Victory host Yakima.

Kickoff is 5 p.m.

The Victory, like the Victory men’s team, plays home matches at Harmony Sports Complex in east Vancouver off 192nd Street.

Of the 19 players listed on the team’s website, 11 graduated from Clark County high schools.

Among the familiar names are Brin Wolvert (Union High grad), Maddie Goss (Union), Maddie Ellis (Camas), Kiki Kallie (Washougal), Amanda Smalley (Battle Ground), Anna Neal (Prairie), Shalece Easley (Columbia River), Bella Allen (Ridgefield), Avery Smith (Camas), Paige German (Hudson’s Bay), and Darien Walton (Heritage).

The Victory will also have home matches on July 17 and 24. Both those matches are scheduled for 3 p.m.

Fans are allowed to attend, and admission is $5.

Also, the Vancouver Victory men’s team (1-1-0) is back in action at home on Sunday against Tacoma Narrows (0-2-0). That match will kickoff at noon at Harmony Sports Complex.
