Aurora Gallery’s July show is “Reclaimed Canvas,” featuring works of art on recycled items used in place of canvas. Artists are asked to create artworks on any reclaimed surface such as coffee cans, lids, furniture or plastic bags — any surface except canvas. The show is open to anyone age 16 and over. Submit art by 4 p.m. Saturday at the gallery, 1004 Main St., Vancouver. There is a $10 entry fee for each piece of art submitted and artists may submit up to two pieces each.
All work submitted must be original, new work that has not been shown in other galleries. Submitted works will be juried. All entries will be available for sale with Aurora Gallery charging a 40 percent commission. If an item is sold, the artist will have an opportunity to replace it for the duration of the show.
