Battle Ground Public Schools to see administrative changes

Denny Waters will succeed Mark Ross as superintendent on July 1

Battle Ground Public Schools has announced the following administrative changes for the 2021-22 school year:

Denny Waters, current deputy superintendent, will become superintendent July 1. He succeeds Mark Ross, who retires June 30. Shelly Whitten, current assistant superintendent in charge of human resources, will become deputy superintendent.

Michelle Reinhardt, current director of human resources, becomes the new executive director of human resources.

Stephanie Watts, principal of Prairie High School, joins the district office as director of human resources. Susannah Woehr, previously assistant principal at Renton High School, is Prairie’s new principal.

Michelle Scott, previously director of business services in the Hockinson School District, joins Battle Ground as its new chief financial officer. Scott succeeds Meagan Hayden, who is relocating outside the area.

Krishna Smith, assistant principal at Pleasant Valley Middle School, takes over as principal of Daybreak Primary School. Smith succeeds Gerald Gabbard, who took a job outside of the district.
