Fishing reports for waters in southwest Washington, including the Columbia River and tributaries as reported to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife on June 1.

Columbia River Mainstem
Salmon/Steelhead
Buoy 10 upstream to Rocky Point/Tongue Point line — Closed to angling for and retention of salmon and steelhead until further notice.
Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam — Through June 15, the daily limit is six with up to two adults may be retained of which up to one may be a Chinook and up to one may be a steelhead. Release all salmon other than hatchery Chinook. Release wild steelhead.
Bonneville Dam upstream to Hwy. 730 at Washington/Oregon border — Saturday and Sunday (June 5 & 6) the daily limit is six with up to two adults may be retained of which up to one may be a Chinook and up to one may be a steelhead. Release all salmon other than hatchery Chinook. Release wild steelhead.
Monday through June 15 — Closed to angling for and retention of salmon and steelhead.
Sturgeon
Columbia River, from Buoy 10 upstream to the Wauna Powerlines, near Cathlamet — Effective only Saturday (June 5), the daily limit is one, and annual limit is two. Retained fish must measure between 44- and 50-inches fork length. On days open to retention, this fishery closes to all sturgeon fishing after 2 p.m., including catch and release fishing. Fishing for sturgeon at night is closed.
All other dates — Catch and release fishing only. Fishing for sturgeon at night is closed.
Columbia River tributaries
Salmon/Steelhead
Cispus River — Closed to salmon fishing.
Cowlitz River — Closed to salmon fishing.
Lake Scanewa — Closed to salmon fishing.
Kalama River (from the mouth to 1,000 feet below the fishway at the upper salmon hatchery) — Daily salmon limit is six fish, of which only one may be an adult. Release all salmon other than hatchery Chinook and hatchery coho.
Wind River and Drano Lake — All permanent rules published in the 2020-2021 Sport Fishing pamphlet are in effect.
Klickitat River (from the mouth to boundary markers below Klickitat Salmon hatchery) — Daily limit is six fish, of which only one may be an adult. Release wild Chinook. The closed waters area between Fisher Hill Bridge and 400 feet upstream of No. 5 fishway remains in effect.

Bonneville — 85 bank anglers kept six Chinook, one jack and released one Chinook and one jack; four boats/seven rods kept one Chinook and released one Chinook and one jack.
Camas/Washougal — 17 boats/39 rods kept two Chinook, two jacks and released one Chinook and one jack.
Vancouver — 17 bank anglers kept four Chinook; six boats/11 rods had no catch.
Woodland — 38 bank anglers released one steelhead; six boats/10 rods had no catch.
Kalama — 22 bank anglers kept one jack and released one jack; six boats/14 rods kept one jack.
Longview — 99 bank anglers kept four steelhead and released one Chinook; 20 boats/44 rods kept two steelhead and released one Chinook.
Cathlamet (Sec. 9) — 28 bank anglers kept one steelhead; five boats/11 rods had no catch.
Cathlamet (Sec.10) — Seven bank anglers had no catch; eight boats/22 rods kept three Chinook, one jack, two steelhead and released one Chinook.

Kalama — One boat/five rods released four legal, 10 sublegal and three oversize sturgeon.
Cathlamet — Seven boats/17 rods kept one legal and released three sublegal and two oversize sturgeon.
Cathlamet/ Deep R./ Chinook — 55 bank anglers had no catch; 249 boats/729 rods kept 73 legal and released 145 sublegal and 168 oversize sturgeon.
Shad
Bonneville — 17 bank anglers kept 126 shad; one boat/two rods had no catch.
Camas/Washougal — One boat/two rods had no catch.
Woodland — Two bank anglers kept 15 shad.
Kalama — Six boats/13 rods kept 20 shad and released 12 shad.
Longview — Eight boats/13 rods kept 22 shad.

Lewis River — One bank rod had no catch.
Wind River — Seven bank rods had no catch. 10 boats/18 rods kept three Chinook and released one Chinook.
Drano Lake — Four bank rods had no catch; 18 boats/29 rods kept three Chinook and released two Chinook.
Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge — Six bank rods had no catch.
