Multiple agencies responded Saturday afternoon for a two-alarm brush fire at Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park, leading to a partial evacuation of the park, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The Vancouver Fire Department, Department of Natural Resources and the Vancouver Fire Marshal’s Office were called to 9612 N.W. Lower River Road after the fire was first reported at 2:47 p.m., dispatch records show.

According to radio traffic, officials were not evacuating the south end of the park.

Firefighters on scene warned of falling burning tree branches as they worked to stop the fire’s spread, according to radio traffic.
