C-Tran announced last week that it will roll out a public display created in partnership with the Clark County Historical Museum to commemorate the transit agency’s 40th anniversary. The exhibit will be available starting Friday on the fifth floor of the Vancouver Community Library at 901 C St.

C-Tran’s first full day of service was July 6, 1981. The agency also plans to celebrate throughout the summer with pop-up events and contests, according to a press release.

Staff will hand out commemorative giveaways on Thursday at the 99th Street and Fisher’s Landing Transit Centers from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., and at the Vancouver Mall Transit Center from noon to 2 p.m.
