RIDGEFIELD — To celebrate their graduation, fourth-grade students in the Ridgefield School District turned to rocks. Students at Sunset Ridge Elementary School painted personalized rocks to represent their best memories from their time in elementary school. At South Ridge Elementary School, students created a rock garden; rocks were painted with their class color and their first names. They placed the rocks in their Resiliency Garden. “The Resiliency Garden was installed with a plaque to recognize the challenges this group overcame this year,” Principal Jill Neyenhouse said in a news release. Union Ridge Elementary School’s rock “river” has been in place for two years, inspired by the book “Only One You” by Linda Kranz.
