More than 1,000 Clark County residents in the Salmon Creek area lost power Thursday.

The outage occurred at 11:14 a.m., with 1,003 Clark Public Utilities customers affected. The utility restored power to about 100 of them within 30 minutes, spokesman Dameon Pesanti said.

The Washington State University Vancouver campus was reportedly affected.

Crews worked more than two hours to fix the issue. They reported the outage may have been caused by an issue with an underground feeder line, a large cable that provides power to many area. Power was restored by 1:30 p.m.
