A developer has submitted plans to build a new drive-thru building that would house a Panda Express fast-food restaurant at 304 S.E. 123rd Ave., slightly south of the intersection with Mill Plain Boulevard. The site has an existing building that would be replaced as part of the project.

The proposed 2,300-square-foot building would include seating for 70 customers and space for 10 cars in the drive-thru lane. Construction would take about four months, according to the pre-application packet, although it does not list a projected start date or opening date.

Panda Express is based in Rosemead, Calif. A virtual pre-application conference with the city has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Feb. 11.
