RIDGEFIELD — Without in-person events, Ridgefield High School’s Associated Student Body turned to the popular social media site Instagram. Using the account SpudderNation, members ramped up their online presence and are creating content for Ridgefield High School. Students started a live show on Instagram TV called “Good Morning Wednesdays. Students Presley McCaskill, Jaynie Murray, and Gabe Berkey appear live to talk about various topics and answer questions submitted during the broadcast. Students have also used TikTok and other media to create videos. “We started it to make people feel like they’re still connected. So if it gets hard to think of new ideas, we remind ourselves that it’s about feeling like we’re all still together,” student Luke Price said. “I am so proud of these students for finding a way to communicate with each other despite all these challenges,” Ridgefield High School Principal Christen Palmer said.
